Alliance for Equality for Blind Canadians presents
To See or Not to See
at the Mary Irwin Theatre Oct 20-22nd
“To See or Not to See” is a powerful story of wounding, overcoming, courage, and healing. Employing the circular motif of a shamanic quest as frame, Bieber’s first play is full of insight about what it’s like to have a vision disability as a child, a woman, a mother and a professional – and about the more hidden disabilities of those around her.
The show (approx one hour in duration) will be followed by a Q and A with representation from the Canadian Mental Health Association (Kelowna Office), the Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians (Central Okanagan Chapter), the Society for Learning in Retirement, and the Kelowna Community Resources; Immigrant Services.
The Friday evening show includes American Sign Language and the Saturday matinee includes an audio description for blind audience members.
