Theatre Kelowna Society is proud to present “The Big Bad Wolf”, a traditional English pantomime, as their 2017 Christmas show. It has a little of everything for today’s family. There are magic Reindeer, Little Red Riding Hood, pigs building houses, a few bunnies for good measure, and of course a Big Bad Wolf. Red Riding Hood and her reindeer pals have to outwit the wolf as they try to get Rudolf back to the North Pole before Christmas! Audiences will be encouraged to sing along and help make the magic happen. This is a must see.
Pantomimes are generally bright, bold, and full of puns, with light-hearted tomfoolery and tons of spell-binding magical moments to keep audiences of all ages entranced. The Big Bad Wolf is a bit of a meshing of some of your favourite old fairy tales and some of your most cherished Christmas Stories. “The Big Bad Wolf will be directed by Noelle Jefferys, who adapted the original Paddy Malcolm English script. She has added her own bit of funk and a lot of the Christmas spirit.
“The Big Bad Wolf” will start up its rehearsals and massive set building the first week of September 2017 with show dates from November 22 to November 26 in the Mary Irwin Theatre. Tickets are available at the Rotary Centre for the Arts Box Office and on their website. Only a one week run this year so be sure to get your tickets early.
