Display Cases Exhibition

Annemarie Fux grew up in the midst of the Swiss Alps, and emigrated to Canada in 1980. Her first home was in Valemount, BC, an open mountain valley between the Cariboo-Range and the Rocky Mountains. In 1988 she moved to the Okanagan, first to Vernon and Silver Star Mountain, then to Kelowna, BC where she resides now. In 2002 Annemarie graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Okanagan University College (OUC), now UBCO with emphasis on sculpting and painting.

While on a trip, Annemarie had the opportunity to work in a fusing glass studio in Canmore, Alberta. This experience was an epiphany where her love for sculpture and colour met. Since then her focus in art is expressed through glass and she is constantly working with new techniques and perfecting old ones.

In 2011 she opened her own Art Glass Studio ‘Fused by Fux’ 4 – 2550 Acland Rd., Kelowna Springs Center, Kelowna BC. Call 250 801 5134 for an appointment.
