Alex Fong Galleria Exhibition
Born to Volker and Theresa Klaue in 1981, in British Columbia Canada, David spent most of his childhood in Mission BC, until he moved to the Okanagan in 1997. High school allowed him to explore the world of art. He thrived in every art class that was offered and in secret he would take on side projects for his teachers and even his peers. Inspired by his art teacher Mrs. Shaw. She taught David about the Italian artists Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci, and the England graffiti artist Banksey, which set the course to create sketches of familiar faces, abstract sculptures, and paintings that David mostly kept to himself.
2008 was the beginning of the “Pieces of the Universe” collection for David. There are 88 officially recognized constellations, and only a handful of like named pieces will be made public. His subjective abstract works allow everyone to see and feel differently about what they are viewing.
