EXHIBIT: José Hernandez, ‘The Art of Dying’

August 2 @ 8:00 am - September 29 @ 8:00 pm

- Free

Pacific Products Safety Boardroom Exhibition

José Hernandez was an electrical engineer for most of his life with no background or pedigree in art. After an accident at work and subsequent near-death experience in January 2000, José’s life path changed dramatically.

In 2004 José began ‘painting with light,’ in an attempt to recreate some of the vibrancy of colour he had experienced, creating art for guided meditations which he now employs in the mindfulness practice he developed with his wife. Over the past 14 years Joe has worked with over 800 clients using the Inner Immersion mindfulness modality and his art has exhibited in galleries across the US. José’s art hangs in permanent installations at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, the Nicklaus Children’s Dan Marino Centre in Miami, FL and other healing centres in the US as well as at the new Kelowna Community Health Centre.
