EXHIBIT: Rachel Mercer, ‘Collagetorium’

September 2 @ 8:00 am - September 30 @ 5:00 pm

- Free

South Atrium Exhibition

Artist Bio:

Rachel moved with her family from Edmonton to Kelowna in 2008. After graduating with her BA from UBCO in 2015 she began to seriously pursue her multifarious passion for art. Self taught, Rachel became highly experimental when she started working at a local art supply store, where she remains today. Her current focus is tentatively divided between collage and mixed-media art, video production, and peculiar vocal looping.

Artist Statement:

“These images and bits of paper had an extremely small chance of coming together this way; yet, over months and for thousands of tiny reasons, they did. I could tell you what happened and why, but my hope is that your own stories will have a chance to appear among the cuts and the glue, papers and placements.”

-Rachel Mercer
