Upwolfing: A New Felting Technique

The technique called upwolfing was created by felt artist and inventor Irene Van Der Wolf from the Netherlands. The class is taught by Judith Mueller, visual artist and contemporary feltmaker, winner of the Okanagan Arts Award for Applied Arts with Art Felt Collaborative.

This is a taster class inviting you to experience the fun of learning a new technique. This class is for both the beginner and experienced felter.
Judith will show you how to use the upwolfing matt and what possibilities are available with this technique. Upwolfing is used to make scarves, clothing, art pieces, whatever & where ever you imagination takes you.

In this taster class you will be able to make a sample using the technique and there will be supplies available to purchase for futher projects.

PARKING : Metered street parking is available outside the centre (free after 5 PM & Sundays). One block south on Ellis Street, parking has been increased at the Library Parkade to 668 spaces, and Memorial Parkade to 519 spaces. Parkades are free after 6 PM except during special events. There is an Impark Lot at Prospera Place (access from Water or Cawston) and Impark Lot at the corner of Ellis and Cawston (access from Cawston).
