Will's Jams Youth Songwriting Workshops

Is your young one a budding songwriter? Do they love singing and performing? Then be sure to sign them up for these unique songwriting workshops with JUNO-nominated musician and educator Will Stroet of Will’s Jams. Suitable for kids ages 6-12.

As a former French immersion music teacher who’s been touring in schools across Canada for more than ten years, Will understands how to work effectively with kids and offers interactive songwriting workshops that involve critical thinking, creative writing, call and response, actions, and performance skills. Will teaches students about the basics of songwriting including: lyric, chorus and verse composition, rhythm and rhyme schemes and melody. Students will collaboratively compose a song with Will, and have the opportunity to perform their song live on stage with Will and his band on Sunday, April 24 at the RCA.

Workshop and concert registration includes a copy of Will’s new CD, Big Shiny Spoons, a colouring book, and a three-month subscription to Will’s online courses, Wordplay with Will | Chanter avec Will.

There are only 20 spots available in each workshop, so register today! Don't miss out on your chance to unlock special promotional pricing by bundling your workshop registration with a ticket to Will's performance in the Mary Irwin Theatre on April 24. Just select the 'Workshop and Concert' ticket from the drop-down menu during your purchase. We'll be sure your aspiring rock star has a seat in the theatre during the show the following day.
