ApHeart Dance Workshop
As part of our Creative Aging activities, the Rotary Centre for the Arts is pleased to host and present workshops and a presentation of ApHeart with Claudia Moore, MOonhORsE Dance Theatre (Toronto) and local professional dancers Annick LeQuellec, Cori Derickson and Sean Ling-Allen.
We invite senior community members aged 55+ to participate in this movement workshop.
ApHeart is a movement meditation for our times. The dancing is guided improvisation, performed by community dancers and professional dance artist leaders with live music. No previous dance experience required!
A contemplative, energizing experience to provide a sense of connection, though physically apart.
A moment to witness senior movers of all backgrounds who, through their movement, allow for reflection on the reality we are all experiencing, to provide a sense of comfort, hope, unity.
A time to speak with our bodies in simple ways to reflect our humanity, our respect for environment and for each other. Joy comes from being in motion together!
