Half and Half July & August 2019

in the Great West Life Mezzanine

Half and Half, is a unique international exchange exhibit featuring paintings, drawings, and sculptures created by artists from Canada and the United States with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This June, Cool Arts Society from Kelowna, BC and the Portland Art and Learning Studio is hosting a juried art competition that will be result in an exhibit showcasing each other’s artists’ as well as their own simultaneously.  Both studios are known as spaces for artists to create unique, person-first adaptive technologies and as platforms for artists to succeed and thrive.

Several of the artists featured in this exhibit have had their works featured in DesignerCon, New York’s Outsider Art Fair and the Portland Art Museum, and are taking the art world by storm at a time when traditionally marginalized people, are coming to the forefront of the contemporary art.
