Culture Days September 27, 28 & 29, 2019

Culture Days was initiated by the Canadian Arts Summit in 2010, inspired by the success of Québec’s Journées de la culture weekend. It has since generated enthusiastic interest, participation, and support from a growing network of artists, organizations, municipalities, media, and both the private and public sector across Canada. After a decade of success, Culture Days has expanded beyond the weekend to support year-round communications initiatives aimed at strengthening the sector and inspiring public discourse about the value of arts and culture.

About the Project:

  • An annual three-day national awareness campaign and celebration of Arts & Culture starting on the last Friday of each September
  • 2019 is the 10th year of the annual celebrations and the Culture Days weekend takes place September 27, 28 & 29. Mark your calendars!
  • Culture Days brings together the local artists and arts and cultural groups/organizations to collaborate on providing free, participatory arts and culture activities and events to the public
  • The goal is to create connections between the public and creators, make arts and culture more accessible and build support for the sector
