Art Studios for Lease

The Rotary Centre for the Arts offers a variety of creative spaces for lease, designed to support and nurture the artistic community of Kelowna. We are currently seeking individuals or organizations actively engaged in the arts and culture scene who are looking for a prime location to grow their artistic practice, business, or community initiatives. If you are passionate about contributing to the vibrancy of Kelowna’s arts and culture landscape, we have spaces for you!

Expression of Interest – Studio 113

The Rotary Centre for the Arts is inviting Expressions of Interest from individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in leasing Studio 113, expected to become available December 1, 2026.

Located on the first floor of the Rotary Centre for the Arts in the heart of Kelowna’s Cultural District, Studio 113 offers approximately 350 rentable square feet within one of the Okanagan’s most active and recognized arts and cultural facilities.

The studio is well suited to artists, arts and cultural organizations, creative entrepreneurs, wellness practitioners, and other businesses or professionals whose work complements the RCA’s arts and cultural mandate and community environment.

About Studio 113

350 rentable square feet

  • First-floor location within the Rotary Centre for the Arts
  • Expected availability: December 1, 2026
  • Lease terms of one to three years will be considered
  • Heat, electricity, water, and building operating costs are included in the lease
  • One designated parking stall is available for an additional monthly fee
  • Located in a busy arts and cultural facility with regular public activity
  • Excellent downtown location within Kelowna’s Cultural District
  • Opportunity to be part of a vibrant community of artists, organizations, and creative businesses

Those interested in being considered for Studio 113 are invited to provide:

  • Your name and business or organization name
  • A brief description of your work, practice, or business
  • How you propose to use the studio
  • Your preferred lease term
  • Any additional information you feel would help demonstrate your fit within the RCA community

Tours of the studio can be arranged for interested applicants.

Storage Space for Lease:

Are you a performing or visual arts group in need of affordable, secure storage space? We offer two storage spaces located under our theatre stage, both in a controlled, heated environment:

1. Storage Space A

  • Size: 459 square feet 
  • Availability: Currently available 

2. Storage Space B

  • Size: 250 square feet 
  • Availability: Currently available 

These storage options provide a reliable, climate-controlled environment for safely storing equipment, sets, props, or materials.

1. A personal CV or company profile
2. A maximum of 500 word statement on how your being located here will contribute to the life of the RCA, and how being at the RCA will impact your or your company’s artistic practice (see the below selection criteria for reference)
3.  A link to your artist website or company page
4.  Maximum 5 images of past works
5.  Two References

RCA Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstration of previous art experience (can include examples of work, awards, education and experience, exhibition history, etc.)
2. Demonstration of commitment to art practice (can include plans for exhibitions, new bodies of work, grant proposals, business plan, commissions, etc.)
3. Demonstration of optimum use of studio space (e.g. use of studio space largely for storage purposes is regarded as an unsatisfactory use of a valuable resource)
4. Demonstration of capacity to pay studio rent (financial reference)
5. Demonstration of need for studio space
6. Willingness to participate in, and contribute to the RCA’s mission and objectives (evidence of commitment to past RCA projects, other organizations, volunteer work, references, etc.)
7. Compatibility with the RCA resident artists, other tenants and facility users (as evidenced by references, the interview process, etc.)
