CMK 22/23 - Montrose Trio
“...absolutely top-notch music-making, as fine as one could ever expect to hear.” - Washington Post
Two Canadian superstars, Jon Kimura Parker and Martin Beaver, together with renowned English cellist Clive Greensmith, share the stage as the Montrose Trio closes CMK’s 2022-23 season. These extraordinary musicians have quickly established a reputation for ensemble performances of the highest distinction. Pianist Jon Kimura Parker (“one of Canada’s most engaging pianists of the last three decades” - Geoffrey Newman) regularly performs with major North America orchestras, while violinist Martin Beaver and cellist Clive Greensmith were previously with the renowned Tokyo String Quartet. The Montrose Trio formed in 2013, taking its name from Chateau Montrose (a storied Bordeaux wine long favoured after concerts) with a nod to the Montrose Arts District of Houston and the street in Winnipeg where Mr. Beaver was raised. Featuring Mendelssohn’s Trio in C minor, this will be a vintage performance to savour.
Single tickets will be available online as of September 15. Season subscriptions may now be purchased at the RCA Box Office or by phone
