Yintah - Community Screening on Sylix Okanagan Lands

Come and see this feature-length documentary covering a decade of Wet'suwet'en resistance. Directed by Jennifer Wickham, Brenda Michell, and Michael Toledano, the film follows Freda Huson and Molly Wickham as they defend their ancestral lands from the Canadian government and major fossil fuel companies.

YINTAH, meaning "land," is a powerful documentary on the Wet'suwet'en nation's fight for sovereignty. After its World Premiere at the True/False Film Festival in March and its Canadian premiere at Hot Docs in April, it's now on a cross-country tour, landing in Kelowna on September 16th!

We are thrilled to bring this film to you with the generous space provided by the Rotary Centre for the Arts. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and we'll have some time to connect afterward!
