DARBY MILLS TRUE STORY

DARBY MILLS BRINGS “TRUE STORY” ROCKUMENTARY TO KELOWNA

A Legendary Voice. A Million Records Sold. A Rock ‘n’ Roll Journey Like No Other.

Kelowna, BC – British Columbia’s own Darby Mills, Canada’s legendary Queen of Scream, is set to electrify the stage at the Rotary Centre for the Arts' Mary Irwin Theatre on Sunday, April 19th with True Story—Canada’s first-ever touring Rockumentary. This groundbreaking show blends live rock performance with stunning cinematics and storytelling, taking audiences on an intimate, high-energy musical and visual journey through Darby’s 48-year career.

As the original powerhouse frontwoman of the iconic ‘80s rock band The Headpins, Darby has sold over one million records worldwide, earning six recording contracts, nine album releases, four gold records, one platinum, and one double platinum certification, along with three Juno nominations, and was honored to be a presenter at the Junos in 1983.

Now, she’s bringing her story to life — across Canada. True Story is set to tour soft-seater theatres nationwide, giving fans everywhere the chance to experience this one-of-a-kind rock event.

A Night of Pure Rock Power!

Relive The Headpins’ chart-topping hits alongside rock anthems from Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, Nazareth and more—the music that shaped Darby’s career and continues to inspire generations. Backed by her unstoppable live band, she delivers the raw energy, powerhouse vocals, and commanding stage presence that have made her one of Canada’s most iconic rock voices.

“This show is my life in music—the highs, the struggles, and the songs that made held it all together.” – Darby Mills
