Okanagan Symphony Youth Orchestra presents
TEMPEST AND TRIUMPH
A concert showcasing the extraordinary talents of the Okanagan Symphony Youth Orchestra (OSYO), a large ensemble of local youth musicians. Under the leadership of Conductor Zeena Zaiyouna, the OSYO undertakes one of the symphonic masterpieces of the Romantic era: Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 2. As a work typically performed by professional orchestras, it demands precision, endurance, and musical maturity and takes a truly unified group to bring this work to life!
The concert also features two outstanding OSYO soloists: Lenna Barbaza with Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor (1st movement) and Josh Desjarlais with Glière's Horn Concerto (1st movement).
Witness a spectacular celebration of passion, talent, and great music!
