Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society Celebrating Okanagan’s Urban Indigenous Artists

South Atrium and Mezzanine

Artist Statement

Presented as part of the art gallery and exhibition programming at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, this show highlights the work of talented urban Indigenous artists living in the Okanagan. Contributing to the diverse landscape of Kelowna galleries, this exhibition brings together a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, from drawing, painting, and sculpture to beading, fibre arts, macrame, and more.

The artists find inspiration from the Land, their Ancestors, the Animals and stories of their own Indigenous heritage.  Taken together, the exhibition is a snapshot of the diverse creative abilities of local Urban Indigenous Artists.
