Welcome Brier 2025 Celebrating Curling in Kelowna

While you're here for the Montana Brier Curling Competition, explore Kelowna’s vibrant arts and cultural scene at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, just across the street from the arena where all the action takes place. Whether you're a visitor or a local, there's something for everyone, from captivating performances and creative workshops during the day to free live music in the evenings. Plus, don't miss out on our kids' colouring contest with prizes! RCA has something exciting for everyone to enjoy during your stay in Kelowna.

The 2025 Brier takes place from February 28 to March 9. Below is a list of events and workshops happening at the Rotary Centre for the Arts during that time.

 

Join our Colouring Contest!

In celebration of the Brier Curling Championship, we're inviting kids and families to take part in a fun-filled colouring competition! Pick up a colouring sheet at the RCA or download one at home, then get creative. The two age categories are 7 & under and 8-13. Winners will be drawn on February 28th, with exciting prizes from City of Kelowna, Tourism Kelowna, Kelowna Toyota and Stringray, including tickets to Brier on March 1st!

Community Programs

Nurture your creativity, discover a new passion, or hone your artistic skills with these RCA's workshops.

 

March 1 - Custom Plant Propagation Station

Craft beautiful plant propagation stands designed to not only nurture your plants, but also to add a unique decorative touch to your space.

March 3 & 4 - Abstract Painting with Pastels

Learn various techniques using pastels for painting and mark-making to create beautiful, layered works of art.

March 4 - Sing for the Soul

Come together and sing in a relaxed, fun, and supportive environment. No prior musical experience is required.

March 5 - Beyond the Music

Led by a certified music therapist, sessions will incorporate singing, music-making, group songwriting, and movement.

March 5 - Draw Your Art Out

This free open studio program provides a casual, supportive environment for people to gather safely, make art.

March 5 - Dance and Move

Honour your body’s desire to move in this free dance gathering.

March 6 - Creator Dance Studio Sampler

Step into World-Class Ballet with our Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) one-day workshop!

Community Performances

March 6 - Jazz Jam/Curves & Edges

5pm - 7pm: Join us in the RCA atrium entrance for a free events that are local favourites! Start the night off with a Jazz Jam, At the Jam, local jazz musicians, both students and pros, play some of the great jazz standards.

7:30pm - 8:30pm: Curves & Edges is a dynamic duo who is harmony driven with piano and percussion. Their music is a blend of sassy, spirited songs across the genres of Pop, Jazz, R&B and Country.

The Queen in Me

Opera Kelowna presents the first half of their 2-part studio production, The Queen in Me. With a cleverly comical critique of how race, gender, and sexuality are portrayed in opera, this production gives voice to characters who’ve wept, raged, and died onstage for centuries, now it’s their turn to speak.

Curl Power

Join us for Curl Power, a documentary following five teenage girls chasing their dream of becoming Canadian National Curling Champions while navigating the legacies of their world-champion mothers. This intimate coming-of-age story captures friendship, ambition, and self-discovery with humor and heart. Hosted by RCA to welcome the Montana Brier 2025 to Kelowna.
