April 14 to 20 is National Volunteer Week; a week to celebrate each and every volunteer and all they do to create vibrant communities. At the RCA, we rely heavily on our volunteers for all our day-to-day operations. As a non-profit organization, volunteers are crucial in maintaining our extensive arts education programs and live audience experiences.
This year’s National Volunteer Week theme is Every Moment Matters, highlighting the contributions volunteers make when they are needed most. The sharing of creativity, empathy, skills, and time is essential for the building of our strong communities.
Our volunteer family comes from all walks of life. From active retirees to young artists, each is eager to share their passions with us. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to provide our theatre programing, workshops, Arts Blast camps, community programs, and much more! Our Ushers, Ticket Takers, Greeters, and everything in between help to keep the RCA afloat.

The hard work and selfless contributions of our volunteers make it possible for us to provide our community with accessible art programs and events that have enriched countless lives. Their passion, energy, and willingness to give of themselves have truly made a difference at the RCA and beyond. It is an honour to work alongside such an incredible group of volunteers, and we are always inspired by their kindness, generosity, and positive spirit. The RCA is incredibly thankful to our many volunteers for helping us continue to be the heart of Kelowna’s Arts and Cultural experience. Happy National Volunteer Week from the RCA!
