July 22, 2022Kelowna Kia’s Operation 300: Helping Non-Profits like the RCA

The RCA was nominated by the Kelowna community as the recipient charity for Kelowna Kia’s annual fundraiser, Operation 300. The goal was to sell as many cars as possible in two months, with $100 from each purchase going towards the $10,000 donation goal. We were up against some stiff competitors, but we reached out to our community to vote for us, and they delivered. Thanks to you, the RCA was chosen as your favourite charity and took home the $10,000 donation! As a registered charitable organization, it is generous donations like this that help us continue to deliver arts and culture education and experiences.

“Thank you so much to Kelowna Kia, the Kot Group, and the community for selecting the Rotary Centre for the Arts as this year's recipient,” said Executive Director Colleen Fitzpatrick. "This support will help us retrofit the Mary Irwin Theatre with much needed LED stage lighting and will help us to continue to deliver arts and culture experiences to the Kelowna community and the wider Okanagan.”

For twenty years, the Rotary Centre for the Arts has been the heart of Kelowna's arts and culture scene, and with support like this, we're building an exciting future for the arts in Central Okanagan. Every donation helps -  to all of our donors: thank you for supporting our work, and for helping to create connection and community through creativity. If you would like to get involved with supporting arts and culture in the Okanagan, you can donate here.
