Join us every 4th Thursday of the month for Bluegrass Night.
Accomplished Kelowna banjo player Mickey Reeves has assembled a top-notch group of bluegrass pickers to play classic bluegrass tunes and back up performers. This is your chance to sing your favorite songs on stage with a full band of seasoned musicians behind you.
This is by advance sign-up. To perform, fill out this Sign-Up Form. The Bluegrass Society will contact you to arrange songs from the Summerland Bluegrass Society Songbook, or well-known bluegrass song with standard chord progressions. Select from songs you know well and can perform confidently. You are welcome to accompany yourself on your instrument of choice while the band backs you up.
Food and drinks are available for purchase from Roma Nord Bistro inside the Rotary Centre for the Arts. Admission is free and no reservations are required. Tip jars will be on the tables, so please bring cash to support the musicians and the Summerland Bluegrass Society.
The Summerland Bluegrass Society is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of bluegrass and old-time country music in the Okanagan region with a vision to create a bluegrass community where singers and musicians, young and old, of all ability levels, may come together to play, sing and exchange knowledge.
Patrons are welcome to purchase food and drinks from the Roma Nord Bistro located in the Rotary Centre for the Arts. This event is free to attend no reservations necessary. However, our musicians are paid by your generous donations, so please plan to bring some cash for the tip jars.
